Rubberising

Rubberising, in most people’s minds, is synonymous with the lining of bakkies but that is just a drop in the ocean when it comes to the versatility of polyurethane. In fact nearly anything under the sun you want waterproofed or protected can be coated with polyurethane.

Sprayed-on polyurethane bonds directly onto the surface to form a permanent, water- and airtight protection against rust and corrosion. It outperforms all plastic drop-in liners, rubber mats and paint like coatings. Polyurethane adheres perfectly to several types of surfaces such as steel, wood, aluminum, fiberglass, concrete, cardboard and even polystyrene to name a few.

Owing to its elasticity and its excellent strength polyurethane can permanently fill the cracks in the sub layer and by the same token prevent any penetration of moulds and hostile substances. Exposure to weather conditions has a minimal effect on polyurethane linings, thanks to its excellent resistance to hydrolysis, hot air and ozone.
